Unfortunately, heart attacks are one of the most common injuries in the country. It is reported that the body gives signs of a heart attack six months before it occurs. Have you experienced any of these symptoms? If so, you may need to make an appointment with your doctor.
In the United States, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death. They can be caused by a variety of conditions that affect the heart. Some of these diseases include coronary heart disease, arrhythmias and congenital heart defects.
You can improve your heart health by improving your diet, exercising, taking iron supplements and increasing your intake of omega-3 fatty acids through food sources or supplements. In the meantime, pay attention to the following symptoms that warn you that your body may be prone to a heart attack.
SIGNS OF A HEART ATTACK
A heart attack can occur when the flow of blood and oxygen to an area of the heart is blocked. The heart muscle begins to die from lack of oxygen. If blood flow is not quickly restored, that area of the heart may die. If medical intervention is not given immediately, the entire heart may die, which, of course, will lead to death.
HERE ARE SIX WARNING SIGNS TO LOOK OUT FOR IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF A HEART ATTACK
- SEVERE FATIGUE.
One of the first signs of a heart attack is severe fatigue. Of course, fatigue is a normal feeling after physical exertion or a long day at work. However, if you feel tired and fatigued all the time, you may need to schedule a checkup with your doctor to monitor your heart health.
It’s unnatural to get enough sleep, eat well, and not exhaust yourself physically, but still feel tired.
- SLEEP DISTURBANCES.
Another warning sign of a heart attack is a sleep disturbance. Your subconscious mind may be telling you that something is wrong. You may wake up frequently, go to the bathroom at night, or be very thirsty during the night. If you have no logical explanation for these sleep disturbances, see your doctor.
BREATHLESSNESS.
Shortness of breath may be a major warning sign that you have a heart problem. When your heart is not getting enough oxygen, you may feel short of breath.
- INDIGESTION.
Another early sign of a heart attack is indigestion. It is not normal for your stomach to be constantly rumbling. However, some spicy and irritating foods usually cause indigestion. - INCREASED ANXIETY
See your doctor if you are experiencing elevated levels of anxiety for which there is no ready explanation. - WEAK OR HEAVY HANDS
When your heart does not get enough oxygen to work, it may send impulses to your spine. When this happens, the nerves connecting your heart, spine, and hands send impulses that cause pain in your hands. If you experience hand numbness, you may be having a heart attack.
Watching for these early signs of a heart attack could save your life. Share this information with your loved ones to protect their heart, too!
